Grand Turk is a great destination for water sports, and horseback riding brings a bit of the ocean element to what’s traditionally thought of as a land sport!
The Routes and Sights
Most rides include the option of wading in our crystal-clear ocean water, at beaches such as Pillory Beach, Governor’s Beach, and East Side Beach. Prices range from about $120-180. Tours may be booked through your cruise line as a “shore excursion”, or privately on your own. When booking, be sure to confirm the time and which vessel you’re arriving one. Yet it takes on an incredibly vibrant and lighter shade when you’re underwater as the sunlight refracts and reflects. On sunny days, the effect is even greater, with distinct rays piercing the depths.
Ride Da Rhythm
This new riding stable is located on Lighthouse Road, to the northeast of Cockburn Town. Guided 60 and 90-minute beach rides on Pillory Beach (the calmest beach on the island) are offered, as well as custom tours.
